• Region and Sport

  Although the sport is missing from the legislative and regulatory based on the decentralization laws, the Regional Council of Burgundy in this area leads a proactive policy.
  Make Burgundy a territory still more attractive, cosmopolitan, as is the aim of sports policy in the region.

• Objective Medals

  The Burgundy region is a partner of the Association Medals Target. Its mission: to raise public and private funds and distribute them as aids for sports and sports licensed in Burgundy, and likely to participate in the upcoming Olympic Games in London in 2012

• Burgundy vibrates with a club^re division

  The Regional Council of Burgundy is long-standing partner of JDA Dijon basketball, football DFCO, the Elan Chalon, the AJ Auxerre, Dijon's Hockey Club, feminist team handball circle Burgundy, the 'ASPTT Burgundy women's cycling. For more information on these clubs, check sheets provided.

• Playing sports is a right

  The Burgundy Regional Council pays particular attention to promoting access to sport high school students, young women and youth with disabilities.

• Objective contracts with leagues and sports committees

  The Burgundy Regional Council has signed January 27, 2010, with the leagues and sports committees Burgundy contract objectives. These contracts reflect the needs and circumstances of sports structures in accordance with the guidelines adopted by the Regional Council. The objective: to support leagues and committees in their efforts to promote access to as many organized sports.

• Job creation in rural sports

  To contribute to the development of employment in sport, the Regional Council of Burgundy assistance associations "Profession Sport Burgundy four departments in supporting their activities in rural areas.

• Wheelchair: developing individual practices

  Because the sport must be a right for everyone, the Burgundy Regional Council strongly supports the practice of sport, amateur or professional. In this context, it encourages people with disabilities to grow through sports. In 2010, the Regional Council has spent € 32 065 for reimbursement of disability sport and disability sport licenses.

• Educating tomorrow's professionals

• Equi-Sense: the therapy horse

  The association Equi-Sense Burgundy, Côte-d'Or, offers a therapy with the horse. Its goal: support, individual sessions, children, adolescents or adults with disabilities, social difficulties and / or relational.

• A book tribute to female athletes

  Under the impetus of the Regional Council of Burgundy, the Olympic and Sports Committee Regional de Bourgogne, in partnership with the Faculty of Sport Sciences, has just published a book dedicated to Sport in Burgundy .
